IDAW is a local charity re-homing stray and abandoned cats, and providing a subsidised veterinary clinic for people in receipt of state benefit.
This policy sets out how IDAW uses your information to support our work and to protect cat welfare.

We may contact you on how you can raise money for our work, mainly through raffles and a newsletter about our work, or how you can support us at our sales at our shelters.
Depending on your preferences you may receive communications by post, email or phone. You can change your preferences at any time.

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software which encrypts information given over the internet.
Data Collection
IDAW may collect personal information when you;
-re-home a cat
-give up a cat for adoption, (including stray cats or your own)
-attend our veterinary clinic
-volunteer or fundraise for us
-pledge or donate
-telephone, write, contact us online or provide your personal information in some other way
Information collected may include your name, communication preference, email, postal address, telephone number, mobile number. Bank account details may be collected so we can process donations or tax payer status so we can claim Gift Aid.
If you re-home or bring in a cat we will keep details relating to the circumstances for 20 years, (upper age limit for a cat).
Sensitive personal information is only collected for a clear reason, for example, if a cat cannot be re-homed with children, and there are children in the household, we would need to know. This is collected with your consent.
Ways your information is used
We do not rent, swap or sell your personal information to other organisations for them to use in their own marketing activities. We will only pass on your name and contact details to our known insurance company to trigger five weeks of free insurance for your cat(s) with your consent.
