2025 marks the 100th year of our Charity.

Established by Margaret Payne in 1925, and continued by her daughter Daphne Parmenter until 2012, the organisation has continued to operate under a dedicated board of Trustees and committed staff and volunteers caring for animals in Ipswich and the surrounding area.

Now known as Animal Welfare Suffolk we are looking to mark our 100 th Anniversary by further expanding our operations around Suffolk, caring for cats that need rehoming and providing assistance to owners of all domestic animals that are struggling under the many financial pressures of the modern world.

We will be holding our main celebratory event on Saturday 31st May at our Centre at 181Cauldwell Hall Road, Ipswich.
